Well paid executive positions regularly attract hundreds of applications and if your CV doesn't attract the recruiter's attention within 20 - 30 seconds then your chances of getting to interview are greatly reduced.   What an employer really wants to know is why they should invite you for an interview. Therefore, in order to achieve maximum impact you must communicate clearly what you want to accomplish in your career as well as highlighting the attributes and achievements which will be appropriate for the job you are applying for.   Consider your skills and achievements and create a profile statement that will say to the employer: "I have the skills, knowledge and experience to help you solve your problems". This will lead the reader to look for evidence of your suitability in the body of your CV. Go on to give examples of skills and achievements that are relevant to their needs. In this way you will get their attention, and encourage them to find out more about you by calling you in to interview.
